The AIGA, founded in 1914 as the American Institute of Graphic Arts, is the oldest and largest national organization committed to the promotion of excellence in graphic design. The AIGA consists of a network of 66 chapters nationwide with over 22,000 member graphic designers and related professionals. AIGA's mission is to advance designing as a professional craft, strategic tool, and vital cultural force.
