Shade and Tone Mixed Media Paint Set

A curated mixed media collection of paints and pencils in natural colors for landscpate, portrait, and tonal studies. The Derwent Shade and Tone Mixed Media Paint Set includes a selection of three Derwent pencil ranges and 12 paints in four popular formations.

Start with the Graphic B pencil to sketch out your artwork. Use the different formulations and tones watercolor paints included to create your piece. Then, using the Onyx and Terracotta pencils, draw over the dried paints to create dark shading and dramatic tones. The white Inktense paint can be used for highlights on tonal sketches.

Great starter for those who are confident with pencils and want to progress to paint. The reddish, sepia, and greyscale tints and hues lend themselves to skin tone studies, but mix with other paints in the Derwent range.

• Set contains 12 half pans in Inktense (7), Graphitint (2) Tine Charcoal (2) and Pastel Shades (1), 3 pencils including Terracotta (1), Dark Onyx (1) and a Graphic B pencil (1) , along with a mini waterbrush in a compact palette with mixing tray
• Suitable for use with addition Drawing, Onyx and Graphic pencils or complementary watercolor paints and pencils
• For best results, pair with cold press textured paper
